1928 Mack Truck

flat bed truck with chain drive and hard tires. tires were useless in the sand and the town abandoned it. like much of the stuff in the yard recovered by mr. keys

is attached to an old Fordson tracter. iron wheels were not suited for the sand. but it had a power takeoff and was driven by a fabric belt

Shade is where you find it

Often the only shade was found near a Joshua Tree

Miners Cabin

Rebuilt by National Park Restoration Team. A friend and fellow miner lived in the original. Wagon Wheels of device used to break rock, horses and mules.

Big Horn Sheep tried to sneak past us one morning. House windmill over main well, which still had water in it at the time.
